Steering Damper (Strut only) [Std Teverun | Pro | TurboTight]
Product Details
Brand: by eScootNow
Steering Damper (Strut only) is used in conjunction with make/model specific brackets or aftermarket brackets to stabilise steering.
Eye-to-eye: 130-200mm.
Total length: 255mm.
Available as:
Standard 1000: Supplied as a Teverun or NAMI Factory Spare (MD1 series). Observed as being identical to that in the factory stock dampers kits of NAMI and Teverun builds, with a slightly a greater level of slowness (more strength) towards the slowest end of the dial than the NAMI, but invarability is often common. Precision of standard are to a lower standard with higher rate of failure (DOA or premature). This is a common stock damper on eScooters.
Pro 2000: Considered to be an improved alternative with a reputation for better reliability and performance (MD2 series). Rider community reports this type to have less premature failure - assumed to be of better design & engineering and/or fabricated with better tooling. This variant has an adjustment knob which resides on the shaft at end of casing and there is a red ring adjacent. Often has carbon fibre livery with light brass coloured rod. These are well received (field reports).
TurboTight 3000: (expected Q3 2026, not pictured): Expected to be our ultimate variant. CNC machined by eSN's TurboBrake factory in Cixi, adjacent to Ningbo. The region is renowned for high quality eBike production and facility has 80 CNC machining centers, 4 large scale forging machines and maintains the tooling to a very high standard. The factory produces 1.5 million sets of hydraulic brakes per annum for major brands including select Zoom branded offerings. TurboBrakes are well proven to have low failure rate due to being machined to high quality tolerances by their 80 professional engineers, TurboTight 3000 will inherit this precision..

This short shows a damper that has failed, note the "play".

Current standard 1000 stock has nameplate (MD1201X? most likely MD3201X). The naming convention of the designation is unknown, previous stock was MC3901X. MA3301X observed on early model Teverun Fighter 11 dampers. 01X is the common designation so assume prior three digits are batch number and the A-C relates to revision / production facility or unit. The designation on NAMI leading up to 2025 is identical to that observe on Teverun through around and just after that era.
