The TurboTight NAMI Klima Fender Spacer Kit provides additional clearance by shifting the position of the fenders at the swing arm to accommodate larger tyres such as ULIP 90/60-6 [DynoRoad]. These tyres are considered a significant improvement over the stock CST 10x3.00-6. The kit also supports the less racy, similar sized urban wide Tuovt tyre.
The kit comprises of eight (8) spacers, four for each fender (front and rear):
- Front fender:
- Frontward screws, pair of:
- 3mm standoff via 5.2x9x3mm spacer
- M5 14mm bolt with 9x5x1mm washer (leaves ~6mm thread for swing arm)
- Rearward screws, pair of :
- 4mm standoff via 5.2x9x4mm spacer
- M5 14mm bolt with 9x5x1mm washer (leaves ~5mm thread for swing arm)
- Frontward screws, pair of:
- Rear fender, four (4) spaces as two variants:
- With presence of Rear Bracket For The Light which acts as a 3.75mm spacer.
- 6mm standoff via 5.2x9x6mm spacer
- M5 20mm bolt with 9x5x1mm washer (leaves ~5mm thread for swing arm)
- Without presence of Rear Bracket For The Light (bracket is absent), 3.75mm additional spacing is required.
- 10mm standoff via 5.2x9x10mm spacer
- M5 25mm bolt with 9x5x1mm washer (leaves ~6mm thread for swing arm)
- With presence of Rear Bracket For The Light which acts as a 3.75mm spacer.
- A fine tune adjustment spacer pack is also included, comprising four (4) 5x10x1 white washers and 5.2x9x2 spacers These are used to influence the bolt thread length or to provide additional spacing and shift the fender angle.
Bolts are Socket Head 304 A2-70 stainless (similar to stock bolts just longer). Spacer and washers are Black ABS unless specified.
Notes:
- Images below show front and rear observations that informed the specification of the spacers, from eScootNow - The Facebook Group.
- Product images show the prototype kit that used T gaskets. Images will be updated when the production inventory is packaged for individual retail sale February 2025. The production version has lower component count (less fiddly) and stainless bolts to finer length tolerance, as per product description.
- The kit is often fitted in conjunction with technique of heating the front fender to slightly change the form of the fender shape.
- The kit is designed to have a low component count which makes it easy to line everything up (lower count than the prototype product photo's).
- Klima models without Rear Bracket For The Light were typically produced from Q3 2023 onwards. Identified as having presence of Tail Light mounted to extended fender with associated fender holder (bracket) that mounts on axil.
- Only the standard fender needs be spaced with this kit. It is understood that there is no need for spacers on the extended fender or variant of extended fender for the light.
- Images showing 90/60-6 fitted on Klima by Douglas Ayres at NAMI Electric BURN-E/BLAST/KLIMA/ Electric scooter. Douglas adopted the heating method to reshape fenders, rather than use of spacer. Douglas adopted 3.75mm spacing with the Rear Bracket For The Light.
- Outcome of fitting, spacers and snap review (in comment) by Graham Barratt who implemented an earlier prototype kit, as discussed earlier at eScootNow - The Facebook Group. With Rear Bracket For The Light. The review is well noted and consistent with others who have experimented with prototype kits.
- Or Lankri's short cut approach simply relocated the front fender, doing away with half the fender screws which is probably not the best approach.

- The NAMI Klima rim being 70mm wide will be approximately 10mm wider than the width of the ULIP 90/60-6 [DynoRoad] at the bead. If necessary, undertake the usual bead forming techniques such as high flow (and/or no valve insert) and use tie-down strap.
