Yuanxing 70/65-6.5 {10x2.75-6.5} Road Tyre (tubeless) [YX-P318A]
Product Details
Brand: Yuanxing
The Yuanxing 70/65-6.5 [YX-P318A] is the stock factory fitted tyre with tube on Dragon X5 and also suits Vippa Ghost. It is one of the few tyres produced in this nameplate size.
70/65-6.5 is typically interoperable as a road alternative for 10x2.75-6.5 size tyres (which are predominately semi-off road). It is marginally wider than 10x2.70-6.5 and used where larger 85/65-6.5, 90/55-6.5 & 90/65-6.5 tyres are too large.
This size is also fitted tubeless on Segway Ninebot Self Balancing models in tubeless operation on Mini Pro and S series.
The tyre is understood to be a tubeless tyre, despite tube type or tubeless designation on the side wall. They are marketed for use in both tubed and tubeless operation.
665 grams. Typically with Red line.
Notes:
This tyre presents similar in construction to the Chao Yang 10x2.50-6.5 {60/70-6.5} and 10x2.70-6.5 with running pressure of the later. They have a good balance between ease-of-fit for tubeless application, strength/resiliency and a comfortable ride pressure for tubeless.
On the numbers, this 70/65-6.5 size has outer diameter of 10.08 inches and 2.75" width, making it typically interoperable with 10x2.75-6.5 tyre sizes such as Xuancheng X8022 and TH-011A - both have similar running pressure. This 70/65-6.5 has approximately 9mm greater width at bead.
This tyre is 7-10mm wider than 10x2.50-6.5 and 60/70-6.5 sizes with a good 3-10mm width at bead which helps maintain the bead given the lower running pressure.
As width at bead is 65mm, it will typically not be suitable as replacement for 85/65-6.5 sizes such as AoXin P6219 (80mm) and EAKIA J-1653 (76mm) which are commonly used on wider rims. Some retailers erroneously market 85/65-6.5 as 10x2.75-6.5 as they can often be fitted in lieu, but typical 10x2.75-6.5 would likely be too narrow at rim.
Images showing fitted to Vippa Ghost front rim, which is 56mm wide. The rear rim (not shown) is 60mm wide. In this instance this tyre was the most appropriate size to use. You can see it rounds up pretty well.
