Italian heritage: In the 1980s, Alessandro Pauselli, followed by his father Umbro sought the best performance and therefore, the best materials. In 2022 a few got together, formed PMT (Pauseli Model Tire brand family), producing Italian race tyres for micro mobility (eScooters).
What makes PMT different to Chinese tyres:
Every eScooter avid rider should try a set of PMT's - at least once:
There are mixed views on suitability PMT's for everyday use from an affordability perspective. PMT's are generally 3 times the investment of the more traditional Chinese tyres such as those from CST and Tuovt. PMT being slightly "softer" will wear slightly quicker than harder compounds under wheel slip, however the better traction afforded from the softer compound can offset that additional wear to a certain extent. To reduce excessive wear, riders should be conscious in governing throttle to prevent front wheel slip. If your P-Settings allow, reduce front wheel power so you can make more use of the rear.
Comparison of eSN's PMT range: We stock e-Fire, Stradale and E-Splora which are the popular PMT's used for urban environments:

The tyres shown below are not stocked by eSN. These run very low pressure with a very soft compound. Typically not used for everyday urban riding but great for a race track. The incredibly soft 45's are near hardness of an inner sole and rubber band!

In recent years, Chinese manufacturers such as ULIP and Xuancheng have introduced offerings that copy properties of PMT, such as shape and tread pattern.
The two key differences of the Chinese copies are:
The Chinese tyres are often referred to as "Nylon" and the PMT's "Rubber" which is a misnomer.
The actual compound of the tyre "that hits the ground" on both PMT and Chinese is Styrene-butadiene Rubber (SBR), this compound is a type of synthetic butyl. each manufacturer normally derives their own formula of additives for the vulcanisation process which influences the hardness (Shore A rating).
Most of these "PMT copies" are within eSN's DynoRoad range.
