Drop-in replacement for most of the common stock callipers on most makes/models of eScooters, offering improved performance over entry-level callipers that have a smaller round brake pad.
This calliper is factory stock on models of VDM-10 (e.g. Dragon Raptor) and T series (e.g. Zero 10X) with good proven reliability. Popular ODM's of eScooters with this calliper include cable brake versions of:
VDM-10 series: includes ODM's such as non-Pro Dragon Raptor (typically yellow colour calliper), eGlide MACH 10/10R, Bolzzen Dynamo & Gladiator Gen 1 (non-hydraulic), Carbon Oxy and select models of Apollo Ghost.
T10-DDM series: includes ODM's such as non-hydraulic versions of Zero 10X and the Dragon Hunter X10 and equivalents of Bexley and Black Edition.
Available in Left or Right orientation. This orientation defines the location of the cable entry as you look at the outer side of the calliper. For example, a calliper with right orientation, sitting on top of swing arm will suit rear righthand side of scooter & front left hand side. It will also suit front right hand side if located "behind the fork". As a general guide on VDM-10 / T series:
Left (orientation) = Front Right Hand Side (RHS) on top of swing arm
Right (orientation) = Rear Right Hand Side (RHS) on top of swing arm
Check your specific model adopts this most common convention.
Includes F:160mm R:140mm bracket, bolts that attach calliper to bracket and a set of fitted crown pads retained by split pin.
Uses "Crown" pads which are retained with split pin and magnets.
Usually sourced to replace damaged original calliper, such as stripping of thread that retains cable line.
Note designation is right hand side, that is on these popular models callipers are on the right for both front and rear. Therefore if intending to fit on models that adopt left hand side, Front is suitable for Rear Left and Rear is suitable for Front Left.
Notes:
The orientation naming convention observes the location of the cable entry as you look at the outer side of the calliper. By way of example, the product image showing VDM-10 Rear is a Right as the cable entry runs in from the right side of the calliper (for RHS, to the levers). The front is a Left (for RHS). This aligns with how hydraulic brake callipers are defined with cable entry. Often cable brakes can use orientation based on the location of the cable termination which would be opposite of this convention.
Dragon Raptor Pro has hydraulic brakes, adopting Zoom Hydraulic.
