TurboTouch 16mm Suspension Damper Bush for 35mm Spring [Kaabo | FIBRO]

• The suspension damper bush is located inside the spring and provides stability to suspension, influencing responsiveness and ride handling.
• The eSN TurboTouch range offers 16mm outer diameter bush in various lengths and dampening strengths. Typically paired with 35mm springs which have 17mm internal diameter.
• Popular makes/models of eScooters that use these include Kaabo models of Mantis & Wolf Warrior X and Dragon Raptor (and other VDM-10 ODM's see notes).
• Available as Kaabo factory spare (Chinese) or aftermarket FIBRO (Germany):
  • Kaabo factory spare. They have a light yellow colour. Observed with durometer as 80 Shore A (soft), similar strength to FIBRO Green.
    • Wolf Warrior X, factory fitted with 50mm length 35mm spring on newer models:
      • 16x6x36mm (Rear, 2pcs required).
    • Mantis 10, factory fitted with 65mm length 35mm spring. Available in two lengths:
      • 16x6x46mm (Front).
      • 16x6x51mm (Rear).
  • As FIBRO Fibroflex-Tubular Spring Elements to DIN ISO 10069-1 in choice of two lengths::
    • 16x6.5x20mm and
    • 16x6.5x25mm
      
      FIBRO do not produce longer lengths, stack as required, can be cut. e.g. For Mantis 10 Front 25+20mm=45mm, Rear 25+25mm=50mm. These would be 1mm shorter than stock.
    • FIBRO is available in choice of three strengths, with the Green being similar strength to the Kaabo factory spare.
      • Green (80 Shore A). Soft. Max compression of 7mm (20mm) / 8.7mm (25mm) at 950N (20mm) / 940N (25mm) which is around 212lbs. [246.5.016.020/025].
      • Yellow (90 Shore A). Medium. Max compression of 6mm (20mm) / 7.5mm (25mm) at 1620N (20mm) / 1580 (25mm) which is around 360lbs. [246.6.016.020/032].
      • Red (95 Shore A). Firm. Max compression of 5mm (20mm) / 6.2mm (25mm) at 1900N (20mm) / 1870N (25mm) which is around 423lbs. [246.7.016.020/025].

• Supplied as individual bush. As FIBRO's are often stacked, two are often required per spring. Likewise, Warrior X has dual springs hence two are required for the rear.
• Typically required when renewal of existing suspension bush is required, including premature failure from dust/dirt build up, or for riders looking for more suitable suspension that caters for rider's riding style.

Notes:

1. Video demonstrating fitting on Kaabo Mantis 8 (the Mantis 10 is same technique).
2. Regarding Kaabo Wolf Warrior X: It is noted some variance amongst length of spring and bush between earlier and later models. The earlier models were equipped with 30mm bush (which accompanies 45mm springs) & subsequent 36mm bush on 50mm spring. The factory fits a 16x8.5x1.5mm washer to support the lower end of the the 36mm bush. Consider shortening the bush if pairing with an older 45mm spring.
3. Regarding Dragon Raptor and other VDM-10 ODM's such as Apollo (Ghost), Bolzzen (Dynamo/Gladiator), Carbon (Oxy) & e-Glide (Mach 10):
   1. As the suspension bolt is relatively large M8 (estimated 90mm length), the internal diameter of 6mm Kaabo and 6.5mm FIBRO need the center bored out (drill) to provide an 9mm internal diameter.
   2. There are variances in the lengths reported/observed. The VDM-10 factory spare parts list specifies 33mm (rear) and 40mm (front). Other reports suggest shorter 30mm (rear) and longer 42mm (front) bush. It is assumed ODM's may specify their desired length as part of CTO (configure to order) arrangements.
   3. The Dragon Raptor builds are generally considered to have suspension that is relatively light, therefore for heavier rider or those wanting more stability eSN recommends the FIBRO Red in conjunction with a heavy Brown 35mm Spring.
4. Bushes are also available in larger 20mm outer diameter in TurboTouch Rear Suspension Service Kit for Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11/GT.
5. Suspension should be dry (no lube) so as to not attract dust and dirt. PTFE spray can be applied to clean and dry suspension (such as the 300g can from SCA). A silicone spray flush could be considered. Do not apply petroleum / oil based products. eScootNow recommends periodic cleaning with paint brush and soapy water.
6. Apply a medium strength thread locker (such as Blue Loctite) on (preferably high tensile) suspension bolts.
