Round Tail 18.5mm Brake Pad

• The Round Tail 18.5mm brake pad supports:
  • Dragon models which have the 1st generation calliper (to and including 2023) across models of GTS, GTS V2, GTR, GTR V2 and potentially the single-motor (non-pro) Cyclone. The calliper is coloured red like the 2nd generation and easy to identify as being without heatsink fins.
    • For gen 2 callipers (introduced 2024), use Round Slotted Large Tail 22.5mm.
    • For gen 3 which are yellow introduced 2025 use Round Tail 21.5mm.
  • BRK-720 series callipers (which are likely Dragon OEM).
  • Kaabo Mantis with the entry level mechanical cable brake calliper. Essentially models other than those with the Semi-Hydraulic Zoom XTECH HB-100 calliper ("hook" pad) or the Full Hydraulic Zoom "HB-875E" calliper (Zoom DB-03 pad).
  • Kaabo Skywalker 8S.
  • Later models of VSETT 9/9+ (early 2024 onwards). Earlier models require Round Tail 21.5mm pad (see notes below).
  • Xiaomi M365 and copies that adopt the smaller size brake pad with a tail (such as 1S and Pro). The easy way to determine if you have smaller size is to note the presence of a tail (notch), as the larger size Round 21.6mm pad has no tail.
  • Mercane Wide Wheel.

Notes:

1. 1st generation Dragon calliper (which these pads support) shown below from the Dragon video for GT series (2022). VIN's of Dragon supported models are listed although the list include models well into 2024 which would likely include models with 2nd generation calliper (and associated generation 2 pad, introduced 2023) as shown on the Round Slotted Large Tail 22.5mm page.
   
2. Images below show BRK-720 series callipers which use this pad. Note these callipers closely resemble the BRK-750 calliper that uses the larger Round Tail 21.5mm pad. Many eScooters will use these types of callipers often with varying branding.
   
   
3. For VSETT 9/9+ models there are two generations of pads:
   • The 1st generation pad, the Round Tail 21.5mm, generally suits older builds prior to early 2024. It has a larger diameter with short stubby tail, typically with two round indentations on rear.
   • This 2nd generation pad, Round Tail 18.5mm, introduced early 2024 and subsequent builds. It has a smaller diameter with longer tail. typically with four round indentations on rear.
     
     Listings from Ride Electric and VSETT Australia are at contradictory with each other (ambiguous).
