VSETT 10+ Motor Rim Cover (suit later models)

• The VSETT 10+ Motor Rim Cover (suit later models) is the detachable split rim for the current version VSETT motor which is the 2nd generation motor on VSETT 10+ builds, introduced late 2022.
• Earlier models use the same Motor Rim Cover as Zero 10X (older HM version).
• There are several ways to check if your motor is older or newer type. You can see detailed photo's of the older (HM version) on the Zero 10X Motor Rim Cover product page.
  1. The casting that supports the rim bolts is consistent across all six holes on newer version. On the older version the width of casting that supports rim bolts is not consistent with 3 being wider than the other 3.
  2. Measure the height of the side of the rim, the newer type is 10mm rather than the 8mm on older.
     
     
  3. The motor hub screws are a black button head type on the newer motor, rather than silver socket head type on older motor. Image from the VSETT 10+ Motor product page which is the newer version:
     
     
  4. The casting where the rotor attaches to side of motor hub has hollow/slotted design whereas older type is solid:
     
     
• Available with optional set of screws: 6pcs of M5 x 20mm socket head screws.

Notes:

1. Typically required when original rim cover has physical damage from impact. Low tyre pressure and/or loose split rim screws can contribute to failure. When securing split rim screws, ensure even pressure is applied, apply thread locker and check screws are tight frequently until bedded in.
2. You may be able to fit longer screws, the 25mm's have been referenced with the older, 8mm rim. Likewise you could potentially fit a thin, soft stainless washer if needing to reduce stress from the rim bolts.
3. This rim is understood to be suitable for motor of MUKUTA 10+ (60V 1400W) but not the lighter MUKUTA 10 Dual (52V 1000W).
