XT30 / XT60 / XT90 Connectors, Prepared Leads, Splitters & Adaptors

XT series connectors and prepared leads are commonly used on lithium ion battery wires to interconnect with controller or aftermarket accessories.

• Y-splitter cables are prepared leads:
  • 1 x Male (source / battery) to 2 x Female (output). 10cm length. Choice of three XT types with corresponding wire gauges. All gauges have been selected to provide the heaviest wire (lowest loss):
    • XT30 16AWG
    • XT60 14AWG
    • XT90 10AWG (not shown in product images)

• 1 x Female (output) to 2 x Male (source / battery). 40/50/60cm length. For those that know what they are doing with non auto switched dual/concurrent/parallel dual battery installs. Typically two similar packs (Ah) are used, do your research. Choice of two XT types:
  • XT30
  • XT60
• Male-Female prepared leads are extension leads.
• Connectors are plugs/sockets with solder terminals (connectors only). The Amass brand connector has a grey booth to provide protection to the solder terminations.

Notes

1. Gender of connectors are determined by the terminal, not the housing.
2. Common manufacturers of these connectors include Amass® and Amass® which produces brands such as HXT®, and TGY®.
3. Many of the more modern BMS (Battery Management Systems) isolate supply from the battery to the XT30 charging ports, unless otherwise charging. As such, XT30 may not deliver constant power out.
4. XT series naming convention is based on maximum current (MC) with rated current (RC) being half. For example XT60 supports maximum current of 60 Amp and rated current of 30 Amp.
5. The folks at Falcon PEV explain how the dual battery switch supports an additional battery (two batteries). Dual battery switches do not support regenerative braking.
