Wire Collection Board / Hub suit Kaabo Mantis and Wolf Warrior (HUB-1)
Product Details
Brand: Kaabo
The Kaabo Wire Collection Board interconnects wiring in Kaabo models of Mantis and Wolf Warrior X/GT. It serves as a junction box and has a buck converter to produce the lower voltage required for some of the lighting circuits.
Often known as Hub, but also Assembly Board, Line Collect Box, Line Board), Distribution Board, Collar Box and Light Box.
Nameplate designation HUB-1. Suitable universally across all Kaabo makes that adopt a box in this size. Introduced in inaugural Mantis 8 Pro, 2022+ Mantis 10 series, Wolf Warrior X and the Wolf Warrior GT (including King GT).
eSN stocks the two most common versions.
72V system: Without the inductor:
48/52/60V system: Has an inductor component (copper winding) and includes two additional 3-pin connectors (green and yellow for positive control headlights, see notes regarding 1358).
Other than the two additional connectors, both versions have same functionality although the factory suggests they are not interoperable with each other (although eSN suspects they are interoperable). It is understood the inductor may be applicable for power quality (electromagnetic interference / harmonic distortion / noise) on the non-72v models to prevent signalling errors (comms errors, interference from lights etc).
An XH Plug Set is available as option:
Contains 12 white XH housings being 1x9-pin, 3x8-pin, 3x3-pin and 5x2-pin (5 of 10) plus 20 metal female crimp pin inserts to form plug termination. This is generally sufficient to connect everything, in most instances the factory stock XHB (friction locktype) is re-used. Tooling is required to crimp the pins to the wire.
Typically required in event of failure from short circuit, water ingress etc. HUB-1 is responsible for almost everything that is connected, failure of the active components may be observed as low voltage lighting not operating correctly.
Genuine Kaabo factory spare.
Notes:
Label inside lid of enclosure. Note connector #5 has a jumper fitted in lieu of physical key-lock (power switch). Without this, there is no power to display.
Connector designation for the 1358 version, which denotes plug bases of two previously undesignated being #6 and #7. The numbering order differs, it explains the "positive/negative control" refers to positive/negative switched headlight circuit.
Amongst the factory price lists there is also a 03.D.06045 version, "1358 Mantis junction box" which is the 032 TL hub for the YW1358 HP model.
The 48/52/60v versions generally have diagram on bottom of the enclosure (with designation TL on top left). The 72V versions are typically without diagram on the rear enclosure, may or not be on the inside of the lid.
Not suitable for your older Warriors such as Wolf Warrior 11 and Wolf Warrior 11 King as they do not use a HUB-1, the harness directly interconnect via black JST SM connectors.
This is not a Mantis King GT distribution board. Such boards are easily identified as having a fixed cables protruding from the box.
