Throttle conversion cable for Kaabo/NAMI to Wuxing KTRB throttle [TurboTap | TurboThrottle]

• eScootNow's TurboTap Throttle conversion cables are a moulded factory prepared lead that provides drop-in, plug-and-play replacement of stock throttles on NAMI and Kaabo makes with alternatives such as other Wuxing offerings. Part of the eScootNow originals TurboTap range.
• Typical / common Wuxing throttles are factory fitted with male yellow 3-pin eBike connector. The connector is an M8, known as brands of Julet / Okfeet / BMING / Higo etc). The wiring adopts a pinout configuration for KT, Rapid & Bolt (e-bikes) which differs to that adopted on NAMI and Kaabo makes. This conversion cable adopts that common eBike wiring convention to that adopted on most eScooters that have the 3-pin female connector on stem main line.
• Designed for compatibility on makes of NAMI and Kaabo. Compatibility with other makes/models is not assured however they are known to suit Elektro Ultra series. See notes for Teverun.
• 10cm length with distinct male-female lime/lemon coloured plugs for easy identification.

3. TurboTap Throttle Conversion Cable is used with Wuxing throttles wired to the KTRB convention, allowing those aftermarket throttles to be fitted in liu of the factory original throttle(s) such as that from Kaabo and NAMI. The KTRB convention uses the same M8 yellow 3-pin connector as Kaabo and NAMI, but is wired differently (different pinout convention), hence this conversion cable adapts the two conventions for compatibility.
4. eScootNow also generally holds stock of "eBike" cables (M8 such as Julet / Higo / Okfeet / BMING) in various lengths. There are some conversion cables under production which provide for reverse (cross-over) connectivity.
5. There are four relatively common 3-pin wiring conventions used amongst eScooters and eBikes. This cable converts a KTRB (c) throttle for use in a NAMI/Kaabo (d) systems:
   1. Bafang, female. This one is unique in that the pin opposite the notch/key is not -ve. A male version is observed on Dragon Predator / Langfeite C5 which you could consider to a a fifth convention, explained further below.
   2. EcoBike and Blade/Teverun, also female. See notes for conversion of this to (c) throttles.
   3. KT, Rapid & Bolt, male. This is very common amongst e-Bikes and availability/choice of various types of throttles is strong.
   4. NAMI/Kaabo, also male.

   • Image below shows the Langfeite C5 / Dragon Predator 1st Gen throttle convention. The pinouts observed follow the convention of Bafang BBSHD pinouts (shown as a above), but with a male connector which makes the pinouts specific and proprietary to the Langfeite C5 / Dragon Predator wiring system design. As you look at the front face of the male connector attached to the cable leading to the throttle, with the notch at bottom, left is +ve, signal is top and -ve is right.
     
     Ohms readings (observed on multimeter):
     • +ve (left) to signal (top) 7.8K ohms
     • -ve (right) to signal (top) 6.4K ohms
       
       
6. Product schematic (wiring diagram):
   • Cables are assembled to this specification. The wire furthest from the keyed notch remains in place (straight through). The cable simply swaps the two adjacent to the keyed notch. The colours were specifically chosen to match that of the NAMI throttle and main line colouring convention (BMING). The NAMI diagrams are published here.
     
     
7. To connect a KTRB throttle to Teverun / Blade, simply use 3-Pin female-female straight through cable such as TurboTap M8 Cable, variant: 3 Pin Yellow Female-Female Prepared Lead. Such a cable will perform the appropriate conversion for their 3-pin convention.
8. The "cut the wire approach".
   Most throttle systems have the same electronic properties (+ve 5v, -ve and hall sensor throttle signal output 0.8-4.8V). Typically if a throttle is not specifically designated as supporting a specific eScooter make (or model), it will be wired for a different system. In some instances the wires are well understood, such as shown in video and image below from Ginger on Wheels . There are assumptions here, however it shows the approach of swapping wires on the throttle based on colours (and not introducing a new cable with foreign colours / different pinouts). The conversion drawn is a KTRB to Kaabo, which will additionally apply on NAMI:
   
   
9. This diagram helps to visualise pinouts amongst genders. It helps understand where reverse / cross-over needs to be undertaken. The left shows the main cable harness on makes of Teverun/Blade and Kaabo/NAMI. The right three various throttle systems. Note change of gender effectively swaps the wiring.
