TurboTorch Bushmaster 5000/M8 Headlight

Includes Bushmaster 5000 fixture fitted with M8 connector for NAMI models and an external remote.

• Measured on meter to consume 20 watts, delivering 5000lm and will drop back with thermal management to around 3500 lumens, 14 watts nominal.
• Fixture has two Cree XHP50.2 emitters at 6000K colour temperature with 70CRI configured as:
  • 1 x Spot with 10 degree beam width.
  • 1 x Wave with 60x15 degree beam width.

• Includes handlebar remote which is secured with a green O ring (three sizes).
• Support wide voltage 12-90V.
• NAMI Plug-and-play, fitted with red 2-pin M8 connector to either replace or compliment stock headlight, powered from headlight circuit or Auxiliary Power Output on TurboTap NFC Bypass Switch.
• Bushmaster has a mounting plate 9mm wide for an M5 bolt. An optional 40mm mounting kit is available to adapt to 40mm brackets such as the stock headlight holder/brackets from NAMI and Kaabo. The kit converts 40mm to 9mm with hardware comprising of:
  • Bolt: M5x50mm (304 A2-70 stainless)
  • Nut: M5 Bakelite
  • Black ABS spacers: Lengths of 2 x 15mm + a 1 x 12mm for fine tuning (5.2mm inner, 9mm outer diameter)
  • Two washers: 1mm and 0.5mm
  • You can choose option to:
    • Replace the existing headlight, such as those on NAMI or Kaabo and re-use existing NAMI Head Light Holder or Kaabo Bracket with the 40mm mounting kit option, or
    • Add the TurboTorch as an additional light in conjunction with the stock headlight with 40mm mounting kit option and two additional items:
      • NAMI Head Light Holder
      • M8 2 Pin Red Female-2xMale (Y Splitter) Prepared Lead

Notes:

1. Compared to Cobra, the Bushmaster produces more luminance across a broader 60x15 degree area whereas Cobra focuses light more within the 10-15 degree area. Bushmaster is well suited when intensity needs to be distributed a little more broadly, such as trails with large amount of cornering.
2. Manufactured by Shenzhen Beam-Tech Electronic, ODM brands include ITARLIGHTS and FluxMotion, Belgium. Beam-Tech's products are also supplied as ODM brands in large Australian retail stores. One AliExpress seller offers this fixture with undisclosed battery at AUD$520. They are premium fixtures!

5. With NAMI systems, as a replacement to the stock NAMI headlight, a slightly different user interface applies. The TurboTorch M8 headlight will not automatically turn on when light switch is on. When the fixture (or remote) button is pressed, the headlight will turn on at full brightness. The same buttons adjust brightness and can turn off the headlight even if the light switch is on. Operation differs if connecting via the TurboTap NFC Bypass Switch with Auxiliary Power Output, which is fully independent of the light switch. Image shows the wiring configuration adopted on TurboTap M8 and the stock NAMI headlight. The connector can be adopted for other makes in accordance with this wiring configuration.
