USB Dashboard Buck Converter for eScooter Handlebar, Wide Voltage 9-90v

This product provides handlebar mounted USB ports to power USB devices such as mobile phone charging, headlights etc. It draws power from eScooter battery.

Input voltage: 9-90VDC (wide voltage - built in voltage buck converter supports most native escooter system voltages such as 48V, 52V, 60V and 72V systems)

Output voltage: Dual USB Type A (5 volts) with capability of delivering of:

• 2.1A (10.5 watts) on port far from the hinge
• 1.0A (5 watts) on port adjacent to the hinge

Mounting: Includes two mounting brackets to suit handlebar diameter 22cm or motorbike mirror mount bracket / plate. The buck converter enclosure sits inline.

Switch: Rocker switched with LED indicator to prevent standby draw down.

Notes:

1. The last two product images shows a similar version (older, slightly different enclosure) fitted to handlebar.
2. There are two common ways the Dual USB Handlebar Dashboard Output can be implemented to source power from scooter battery:
   1. Direct to battery (Always on). Simplest design, compliment with eScootNow XT30 connection cable for battery interconnect. Works well if output is primarily purposed to charge fixed accessories such as auxiliary headlights with self-contained batteries or battery banks/packs. Switch the rocker switch to enable/disable the output (and standby current draw). Test the XT30 connector from battery to see if it is always-on, as often they can be isolated on newer BMS implementations which will require larger XT60 or XT90 interconnect.
   2. Switched from battery through scooter power on status: Powers up only when scooter is switched on (recommend 5mm relay). Works well if output is primarily to drive equipment when scooter is in use, and you do not want the output active when scooter is switched off (such as DRL lighting etc). Rocker switch is downstream of scooter power on. Switch/load need not be isolated to prevent standby current draw.

4. Occasionally an Quick Charger version is available - typically these are only available for 12-24V systems. Quick Charge 3.0 provides: 5V/3.4A (17w), 9V/2.5A (22.5w), 12V/2A (24w). In most instances the 2.1A outlet will provide sufficient power for use such as GPS navigation.
