The version required will depend on the model and/or version. They key difference is the Power-ON and Power-OFF behaviour, as the NFC variant relies on the NFC undertaking some power-ON/OFF switching and therefore the newer NFC Variant Dashboard has less involvement in power switching.
The golden rule is to only fit the NFC variant on NFC enabled models that have the newer, NFC main cable as are wired with the yellow 3-pin NFC e-bike connector and associated circuit design.
Burn-E:
Older models without NFC will have the older non-NFC main cable and therefore require the Non-NFC variant.
Fitting a NFC variant may result in the scooter not being able to turn off (i.e. the POWER button will not function to turn off the scooter: you would likely need to unplug the dashboard to Power-OFF. You can uplift the main cable if necessary (this is typically undertaken in conjunction with the NFC reader / new tail light / mud guard).
Newer models equipped with NFC will have the newer, NFC main cable and require the NFC variant.
Older models subsequently uplifted with NFC will have the newer main cable and require the NFC variant.
Fitting a non-NFC variant to the older non-NFC main cable may require an NFC card reader Swipe in order to turn off the scooter, and possibly a two-step power on (NFC card swipe + Depress POWER Button). Only fit the NFC variant with the newer main cable (the NFC/Uplift Tail cable). You can uplift the main cable if necessary (this is typically undertaken in conjunction with the NFC reader / new tail light / mud guard).
Klima:
Klima is with NFC, therefore always use NFC variant.
