Product Details
Brand: TurboTap by eScootNow Originals
- These cables are a common interconnect for eScooter and eBike handlebar connections and a great way to connect accessories or tap into existing handlebar wiring circuits.
- They go under various names including M8 / Julet / Okfeet / Bming / Higo.
- Range includes:
- Prepared leads with moulded connectors on both ends, in various length.
- A limited range of to-be-discontinued semi/half prepared leads are also available in 40 and 80cm lengths. These have moulded connector one one end and flyleads (exposed wires, no connector) at the other. In absence of these simply use a prepared lead.
- These cables adopt a durable, waterproof design. To aide disconnection, do not to compress the lock ring when grasping and apply a slight angle / bend to break the hold of the lock ring. Ensure pin alignment when connecting and do not rotate.
- The BMING shorties are pre-fabricated for eSN by the OEM harness manufacturer of NAMI Electric adopting the NAMI colour system.
- The Dream Start Yellow 3-Pin (20cm M-F) is lime green to assist differentiate from connectors.
- Convention is the usual, commonly adopted whereby gender is based on conductive pins, not housing (e.g. male connector has male pins).
- Pins and colours
Red = 2-Pin
Yellow / Orange = 3-Pin
Blue = 4-Pin
Green = 5-Pin
Black = 6-Pin (This is not shown in any of the diagrams, but shown in two photographs)
Black = 7-Pin* (This 7-Pin configuration is whereby one pin resides in centre as per the BMING diagrams - it is used on main cable leading from stem to deck on NAMI Burn-e, Klima and Blast models).
Black = 8-Pin (Not shown in product images, image shown below:)
Outer multi-core wire diameter: 3.7mm (5.5mm for 7 and 10-pin).
Plug diameter: 8mm. Note diagram above shows 9mm which is incorrect, the 9 should read 8, hence known as M8, rather than the smaller M6 that is occasionally implemented in some makes/modes such as Joyor S Series.
Plug length: typically 34mm on both genders, again diagram suggests 29.8mm which is not typically observed.

The 3-Pin Female-Female cable can be used to connect a KTRB throttle to Teverun models.
Notes:
- M6 vs M8 size reference as measured by eSN on Electric Brake Sensor Switches. This handy reference shows the difference in size between M6 and M8 3-pin male plugs. Focus on the two in the middle. Often Chinese drawings somewhat overstate M8 sizes.
