NAMI Main Cable (main line / harness suit Burn-e, Klima and Blast)
Product Details
Brand: NAMI Electric
The NAMI Main Cable is the wiring harness that connects all electrical components such as dashboard, controllers and lights. Models of Burn-e, Klima and Blast have two main cables, easily identified by length. There is an upper (long) and lower (short):
An upper (longer) cable that extends up the stem in three versions:
"V3" suits the later model builds that feature Front Turn Signal which is accommodated by V3's inclusion of two red 3-pin female connectors. Use of these connectors is optional allowing V3 to be used in lieu of V2. V3 has a distinct moulded triangular shaped junction with NAMI branding that is secured to the top of the stem with the cable holder (plastic bracket/clamp). Electrically, V3 is essentially a V2 (NFC) with the two additional red 3-pin connectors.
"V2" is discontinued, use V3 in lieu of V2. This was introduced to support NFC card reader which is accommodated by V2's inclusion of a yellow 3-pin male connector. Like the V3, this cable requires an NFC reader (or a bypass switch / stub) in order to Power-ON the eScooter as the the connector sits inline on power circuit. Only choose these NFC variants if your model is NFC equipped and also note NFC readers are best paired with NFC enabled Dashboard for appropriate power-ON/OFF functionality, explained in further detail on the Dashboard product page.
"V1" is for the non-NFC models. It does not support NFC (nor Front Turn Signal) and is paired with the original non-NFC Dashboard allowing the Dashboard button panel to perform power-ON/OFF functions.
A lower (shorter) cable that resides in the deck in two version:
"V2" dual light connectors, introducing an additional green 5-pin female connector (presenting two in total) so that the Burn-e can support the Side Light Strip and extended fender tail-light concurrently.
"V1" which has a single light connector. This cable has one green 5-pin female connector supporting one light, such as Klima & Blast models (which do not have Side Light Strip) or older Burn-e models were without extended fender tail-light.
Typically required when replacement is needed due to physical failure of original long cable (resulting in error such as communications error). Also sourced to retrofit NFC and front turn signal as shown in this video and for Burn-e, concurrent strip light and fender-mounted tail-light.
Genuine NAMI Factory Spare, wired for plug-and-play installation.
Notes:
When you select a variant (from the radio buttons) the product image will update reflecting the variant selected.
NAMI Stellar models use a different main cable (it is without a waterproof connectors inside the deck.
Connection to Light and horn switch:
All eSN upper (long) cables have newer black 6-pin male e-bike connector for light and horn switch, rather than the older inaugural green 5-pin male connector (which existed on very early models - version zero). The new 6 pin implementation enables the newer generation LED equipped light and horn switch (introduced early 2023) to display turn signal status on instrumentation (the LED's on the switch buttons). The additional pin is for +ve to enable the LED on the buttons to illuminate and is a source of system voltage. The older main cable (the "V0") adopted a green 5-pin male e-bike connector for the switch. That main cable is discontinued. As the additional male pin is in the centre, the 6-pin connector requires either a) the newer generation 6-pin light and horn switch as the connector on that switch has a repository (socket) for the 6th pin or b) if you are intending to re-use an older 5-pin switch, the additional pin which is the male pin in the centre of the connector on the main cable can be removed for physical backward compatibility with the older switch. Switch are not expensive and have a limited service life (horn and light button failure), so if you do have the older 5-pin switch, consider uplifting to 6-pin switch, as you cannot re-insert the 6th pin once removed.
Refer to video from Michael Sha showing installation of main cable (NFC, non-turn version):
Image below shows the V3 upper (longer) distinct moulded triangular shaped junction with NAMI branding. Current stocks of V3 include the Cable Holder to attach to the stem. The holder is serves the purpose of mounting the 2024 Q4 version of NAMI NFC. V3 supports the turn signals as shown in video.
