- The TurboBrake Brake Bleed Adaptor has a relatively small M5 thread, relatively fine 0.8mm pitch and relatively long at 8mm in length.
- The adaptor augments common bleed kits such as eZmtb bleed kit which typically do not contain this type of adaptor.
- Connects to the common 4mm internal diameter clear tube / hosing in bleed kit to connect to syringe.
- Suits levers of:
- eSN TurboBrake.
- Dragon (Langfeite) models that adopt HB427-H brakes such as models of:
- Predator, Hurricane, later model Cyclone (including Pro and later models of non-Pro), later model Lightning V2 & Beast.
- Teverun models that adopt HB427-H or HB427-4M brakes such as models of:
- Almost all models of Fighter (the very earlier models used Zoom brakes), including all Fighter Mini, Blade GT II (and some late model GT's) and later models of Blade Mini. Typically any Teverun model that is not a Zoom or XOD system.
- Suits callipers of HB427-4S and HB427-4M, the later of which are factory stock on high-end models of Teverun Fighter.
- Includes 7mm (OD) x 1.5mm (cross section) o'ring.
- You will need two (quantity 2) if intending to do full bleed top and bottom if both lever and calliper require this type of adaptor.
Notes:
- Images below from the HB427-H calliper product page shows this adaptor compared to others included in eZmtb kits:
- These are the OEM bleed adaptors sourced from the OEM of TurboBrake, factory-fitted on aforementioned Teverun and Dragon makes. Teverun do provide this adaptor as a spare part as a kit that can be purchased from AliExpress.
- TurboBrake levers only accommodate a small amount of thread on the end of the adaptor to form connection (~1mm). When inserting into lever, apply downforce in turn, at the point where the O ring begins to compresses. Do not overtighten.
- In absence of this adaptor, often adaptors that are included in the common bleed kits can be augmenting with O rings and/or plumbers tape, or you can use a syringe with appropriate size nozzle but none of these techniques are best practice.
- The 8mm length is not sufficiently long enough to use on newer Logan and NUTT levers, which may also be a smaller/finer thread.
- US spelling caliper.
