The TurboTool Brake Disc Rotor Straightening Tool is used periodically to easily straighten bent rotors so they do not rub on pads and callipers.
This tool is chosen specifically due to being relatively narrow, quite thick and at favourable angle to clear most eScooter wheels.
Typically used every few months to perform rotor alignment, usually in response to rider hearing the sound of calliper rubbing. It is best to tend to these ASAP so as to prevent a hot-spot which renders rotor unstraigntenable.
Notes:
To straighten rotor, use a torch to inspect the rotor travel through the calliper and note the areas where the calliper approaches the pads inappropriately, Note that location, freewheel the wheel so you can access the area of concern then slide the tool adjacent to "the spokes" that support the area. Apply pressure with the tool, usually three attempts are made as you increase force each time in turn to apply the appropriate pressure. Then freewheel that location back into the calliper to check the adjustment. The process typically takes 10-30 minutes. The tool does speed up the job compared to improvised tooling.
Hall Sensor suits TurboBrake and Zoom levers including Dragon/Langfeite models of Predator, Hurricane, Slayer, late Cyclone, Lightning V2 & The Beast, Teverun Fighter series, models of Kaabo Wolf, Mantis Pro and select VSETT / Zero.
