Performance road tyre suit most full-size / full profile 10" scooters with 6" rim that is relatively wide. This is the stock factory fitted tyre on NAMI Klima models.
Suits tubeless hubs such as those on NAMI Klima, Dragon GTR (including V2 as replacement to Chao Yang 80/60-6), Dragon Cyclone Pro and Dragon Predator (Tuovt 90/55-6).
Suits tubed hubs such as those on Dragon GTS (non split rim) including V2, Kaabo Mantis 10 and Wolf Warrior X, VSETT 10+, T10-DDM such as Zero 10 & 10X, Dragon X10 & MiniWalker, VDM-10 such as Dragon Raptor, Bolzzen Dynamo & Gladiator & e-Glide Mach 10. Bolzzen Commando 10" / Dragon Slayer (Hota 80/65-6) and Mukuta (Tuovt 255x80). This is also the stock 10" tyre Teverun Blade X.
Adopts shape and tread pattern offering impressive handling on hard surfaces (roads), especially in areas of straight line and cornering:
Minimal tread gaps across the centre to run quiet and reduce friction which improves efficiency (endurance / range) and helps maintain longevity of tyre (life / wear).
The shape under inflection is quite round and "pointy" which makes cornering more predictable as tyre maintains consistent surface contact and downforce when leaning through turns.
The tread towards the side of the tyre is also well suited for leaning into demanding corners - adhesion feels consistent into and out of turns due to the consistent tread pattern from centre to side of tyre.
These properties result in consistent downforce through cornering as the surface area does not change significantly when leaning in through turns.
The tyre also offers impressive puncture resistance as it is not too captive to sharp objects.
Those not running tubes can also consider the self-healing variant is also available.
Performance Road tread.
Typical weight 748 grams, which is 21% heavier than PMT e-Fire 10x3.
Red / green line. Tubeless.
CST brand. 50 PSI (relatively high pressure, low rolling resistance for optimised range / efficiency and rim protection).
This tyre has an observed inflated diameter of 253mm (235mm uninflated), inflated width of 74mm (85mm uninflated) with an inner diameter of 147mm and width at rim (between bead) of 63mm. Nameplate 2.15" rim (55mm).
If intending to fit this tyre on traditional 10x3 hubs that require tube, you will find the width at bead significantly wider than typical 10x3 / 255x80 / 80/65-6 tubed tyres. It will be necessary to "compress" the hub when bringing the split rims together. One technique is to use three longer rim bolts temporarily to coach even pressure around the circumference of the split rim. This reduces likelyhood of cracking the rim during fitment. The sidewall near the bead is 6.7mm which generally provides good clearance to the hole in the rim for the valve stem.
With a curved shape and within the 10x3 footprint, this tyre provides good clearance of fender, calliper and suspension.
